Kimberly Blaeser's essay "Rituals of Memory" discusses her her life experiance's growing up as an American Catholic and Native American. Blaeser compares her friend's curly hair to relationships to family, place and community because life and relationships are complicated and they get intertwined with each other. She also argues that that stories tell us who we are. She uses the momory of Momorial days spent with the legionnaires conetries and the indian burialgroungds as an example of a time when her two cultures come together. As Blaeser explains her dual cultures and tells how they come together as one. her stories and memories define her.
